Previously Hawk's highest friction race pad and most popular high friction formula. This compound is designed for higher power/weight cars with high deceleration rates
Can be used on the front with DTC-60 rear if staggered friction is desired. Race or near race tires recommended. Aggressive DE, road race and asphalt circle track cars
Temperature range 400-1,600° F - Optimal 800 -1200° F
DTC-60 compound is a medium to high friction compound designed for excellent torque control and modulation. DTC-60 can be used in the rear with DTC-70 front for a staggered setup. Can be used with race tires or aggressive (200TW) street tires
Good for higher power/weight road cars at 'HPDE' type events and more moderate load race cars
DTC-30 offers controllable torque with smooth feel and bite. Designed for lower friction track or heavy street applications. Lighter track cars with lower power and/or tire grip
Can be used in aggressive street and autocross applications but will dust and increase rotor wear
Temperature range 100-1000° F - Optimal 200-800° F
R18 compound is G-LOC's highest friction compound. Very strong initial bite with a flat torque curve and excellent modulation. Should only be used with race tires and aggressive applications where high heat and friction are constant and expected
Pre-bedding is suggested and best used with new or G-LOC bedded rotors
Temperature range 610-2100° F
Extremely High Torque - High Bite
Pads take 7-10 days to be made. Gloc's Policy "BUYER MAY NOT CANCEL OR RETURN IF NO LONGER NEEDED."
R16 compound is a high friction and high temperature racing and advanced DE compound with very high fade resistance and excellent modulation. Has low rotor wear for a high friction pad
Best on heavier cars with very aggressive street or race tires
Temperature range 255- 2000° F
Very High Torque - High Initial Bite
Pads take 7-10 days to be made. Gloc's Policy "BUYER MAY NOT CANCEL OR RETURN IF NO LONGER NEEDED."
R12 compound has excellent initial bite and a medium to high flat torque curve. Renowned modulation and lower rotor wear. R12 does dust but cleans more easily than most
Works for aggressive street car and tire HPDE. Recommended for racing in medium HP and weight classes
Temperature range 200-1860° F
Medium to High Torque and Initial Bite
Pads take 7-10 days to be made. Gloc's Policy "BUYER MAY NOT CANCEL OR RETURN IF NO LONGER NEEDED."
XP12 compound has excellent initial bite and a medium to high flat torque curve. Renowned modulation and lower rotor wear. XP12 does dust but cleans more easily than most
Works for aggressive street car and tire HPDE. Recommended for racing in medium HP and weight classes
XP10 compound has controllable initial bite and a flat torque curve. Most popular on the rear of modern high HP sports cars for aggressive HPDE on 'street' tires
Low rotor wear and manageable dust. XP10 can be considered for very aggressive street use but dust, noise and rotor wear is expected
XP8 is a medium friction compound that can be balanced with XP10 compounds as needed. Can also be used for HPDE where lower friction and heat load is desired such as beginner and novice run groups
XP8 has lower rotor wear and manageable dust. XP8 can also be considered for aggressive street use but dust, noise and rotor wear should be expected
Cobalt XR2 is a high torque material featuring an initial bite that is 8-10% lower than XR1, but with the same controlled transition to a linear, rising torque curve.
Improved modulation, threshold control and release characteristics
XR2 is well-suited for chassis and tire combinations which do not respond well to excessive initial brake energy, but still require a high average torque level.
vehicles normally equipped with XR1 can move directly to the XR2 when low-grip conditions present themselves unexpectedly
Will not sacrifice or experience a change in pedal feel, consistency, or brake capacity
Cobalt XR4 is a medium torque compound sharing a similar application basis as our popular XR3 material, but at lower overall friction levels.
Slightly rising torque curve at low to moderate line pressures, transitioning to a virtually flat profile at higher line pressures and temperatures
XR4 is primarily a rear-axle compound for vehicles under 2800lbs
the excellent cold performance, friction stability and consistency of the XR4 also make it a class-leading autocross compound on vehicles up to 3200lbs
Cobalt XR5 is a specialized low torque material designed specifically for rear-axle applications on vehicles exhibiting a rapid rate and high magnitude of weight transfer under braking.
Solid initial bite with a perfectly flat torque profile
Negative torque gain versus temperature
Able to transition to a negative slope virtually eliminates rear lock-up.
